It used to be that what was put on a business card was simple and easy. Name, address, phone number and some inkling of what type of business or profession you were in, often indicated by your logo. Make the Most of Your Black & White Photos
If you try to fancy up your photos as much as I do, you’ll love this gem. Nothing like turning a photo black & white to give it some drama and especially to make a beautiful moment more nostalgic. That being said, simply clicking the “black & white” button does a good job, but here is how to really make it a true BLACK and WHITE. Here’s the photo we started with.
Next, change the photo to black & white. Most photo editors have a simple click to make this happen. However, it doesn’t exactly turn to black and white…more like grey and greyer.

Next, brighten your photo using the brightness/contrast feature on your photo editing software. Here, I increased brightness to 63, but you can adjust to whatever looks best. What this does is bring out the whites of the photo.
Increase brightness.
Finally, increase the “black” color of your photo. Different photo editors do this in a variety of ways, so if you are unsure, use the help tool and type, “increase black”. This makes the blacks in the photo more crips, resulting in a more black and white photo, rather than just a grey one. Here is the final product…

Sooo, have you put a really cool picture as your Facebook timeline cover photo only to have it super stretched out and all you can see are the tops of your heads? Well, fret no more. As if looking for work wasn’t hard enough….putting together an impressive resume is the hangnail on the thumb of the unemployed. It’s annoying. It’s difficult. And, mostly…it goes in the trash. So, throw out the old rules and make some of your own. Resumes aren’t just times new roman, black and white on white paper anymore. Here are some examples of some pretty happening resumes.
